Lake Havasu City continues to invest in the future of its roadways by improving utilities and resurfacing roads in the downtown area. The next project starts at Lake Havasu Avenue and Mesquite Avenue and ends at Riveria Drive and Mesquite Avenue for milling and paving operations, beginning Monday, April 28, through Friday, May 2.

Lake Havasu City announces upcoming improvements to the parking lot at Avalon Park, located off Avalon Avenue. Starting Monday, May 5, 2025, existing asphalt is replaced with fresh asphalt to improve safety and convenience.

Lake Havasu City is making a splash to celebrate 30 years of the Community Aquatic Center. The public is invited to join the celebration on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a special community event.

City offices and the Aquatic Center are closed on Friday, April 18, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. However, the police, fire, and trash collection services remain unaffected. City offices resume normal operations on Monday, April 21, 2025.

At approximately 12:35 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, a possible dumpster fire was reported by a passerby in the 1500 block of Corona Drive. The first arriving fire company reported an exterior fire of pallets and cardboard that had extended into a commercial warehouse occupancy and upgraded the call to a working commercial assignment. Three engine companies, one truck company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in approximately 26 minutes. The occupancy was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported to firefighters. Crews remained on scene for an additional two and a half hours conducting overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
