At approximately 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, a house fire was reported by a neighbor in the 500 block of Aloha Drive. The first arriving fire company reported smoke and flames coming from the residence's RV garage. Five engine companies, one truck company, one medic unit, and the Battalion Chief responded to the incident and gained control of the fire within 45 minutes. Two civilians sustained minor injuries. Due to high winds, crews remained on the scene for five additional hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Desert Hills Fire Department assisted Lake Havasu City with other 911 calls. LHCFD CERT crews also responded to provide support and rehab duties for working firefighters.

Lake Havasu City announces upcoming construction work at Industrial Boulevard on Monday, January 13, through Wednesday, January 15, with some work during the night and some during the daytime. Temporarily closed roads and detours are in effect in and around the areas to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

Temporary road closure of the Queen’s Bay cul-de-sac is in effect on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. until approximately June 2, 2025, to facilitate the construction of a concrete box structure and re-profiling of the existing roadway, including the installation of a new curb, gutter, and sidewalk.

On December 31, 2024, at approximately 11:18 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Fremont Drive. Upon arrival, they found the driver unresponsive. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On January 2, 2025, at approximately 2:29 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a head-on collision on State Route 95 near Dub Campbell Parkway (Mile Marker 176). Upon arrival, it was determined that a black Dodge truck and a semi-truck with a trailer had collided head-on. The driver and passenger of the Dodge were pronounced deceased at the scene.

On December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:27 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 2100 block of McCulloch Boulevard North. Upon arrival, officers determined that the driver experienced an unidentified medical emergency while traveling east on McCulloch Boulevard North. The vehicle veered left, striking several decorative pots in the median before colliding with a light pole.
