HOUSE FIRE
April 28, 2026

At approximately 11:28 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, a fire was reported in the 900 block of Paso Drive. A neighbor observed smoke coming from the residence and called 911. The first arriving fire officer reported a fully involved structure fire with flames through the roof and exposure to a neighboring home. Five engine companies and a Battalion Chief responded to the incident and operated in a defensive mode, deploying five hose streams. Crews successfully prevented the fire from spreading to the neighboring residence. 

The occupants of the home were not present at the time of the fire. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries. 
Thirteen Lake Havasu City Fire Department CERT members responded to assist with firefighter rehabilitation operations. Desert Hills Fire Department provided station coverage within Lake Havasu City, ensuring continued response to other emergency calls. Off-duty Lake Havasu City firefighters also responded to staff an additional engine for coverage. 
The fire was brought under control in approximately one hour. Crews remained on scene for an additional three hours conducting overhaul and salvage operations. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
