ARRESTS MADE IN AGGRAVATED ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

On January 6, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m. Officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to Havasu Regional Medical Center for a delayed assault report.

During the investigation, officers determined that the 83-year-old male victim was walking in the 1900 block of McCulloch Boulevard North on January 6, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., when he was approached by subjects in a white 4-door sedan. A male subject exited the vehicle and began arguing with him. A second male exited the white sedan and both male subjects began assaulting the 83-year-old victim causing the victim to fall to the ground, where the assault continued to occur.

The two unidentified male suspects fled the area in the white 4-door sedan, believed to be a Ford Crown Victoria, and the male victim went to Havasu Regional Medical Center for treatment, where he was released later in the day.

On January 6, 2023, at approximately 8:52 p.m., Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of London Bridge Beach. They followed the vehicle to the 40 block of Lake Havasu Avenue where a traffic stop was made. During the traffic stop, the two aggravated assault suspects were identified as 18-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Owen Williams and a 15-year-old Lake Havasu City juvenile.

As a result of the investigation, Owen Williams was charged with Aggravated Assault and during his initial appearances was held on a $3,500.00 secured bond. He is awaiting transport to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office

The 15-year-old Juvenile male was also charged with Aggravated Assault and transported to the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center.
