Jack Hardie Park playground is temporarily closed beginning Monday, April 13, 2026, to allow for the construction of a shade structure and lighting improvements over the existing playground equipment to enhance comfort and safety for park visitors. During construction, the playground area is fenced off and inaccessible.

 

Construction is anticipated to take approximately three weeks, with the playground expected to reopen the first week of May, weather permitting.

 

The City appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as these improvements are completed, and we look forward to welcoming residents back to an upgraded playground experience.
