FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION
March 29, 2022

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, at approximately 9:37 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Jamaica Boulevard North and McCulloch Boulevard North. During the investigation, it was determined that a 2019 Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on McCulloch Boulevard North when the driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign. As the Toyota Corolla continued through the intersection, it collided with a 2021 Can-Am that was eastbound on McCulloch Boulevard North and making a left turn on Jamaica Boulevard North. The collision caused the Can-Am to roll, ejecting the male driver.

As a result of the collision, the male driver of the Can-Am, identified as 26-year old Keith Blanchard, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of the Can-Am was treated and released by medics at the scene, and the two occupants of the Toyota Corolla were transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the accident scene to conduct the investigation. The intersection was closed for several hours as a result. The accident is still under investigation, but impairment does not appear to be a factor. The decedent’s family has been notified.
