FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION
June 14, 2022

On Monday, June 13, 2022, at approximately 7:55 a.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2800 block of McCulloch Blvd North. During the investigation it was determined that a 2004 Chevy Astro van was traveling westbound on McCulloch Boulevard North in the 2800 block and for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted to the right leaving the roadway and struck a palm tree.

As a result of the crash, the male driver of the Chevy Astro van, identified as 53-year old Lake Havasu City resident Stephen Bruner, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the crash scene to conduct the investigation. McCulloch Boulevard North was closed for several hours between Eastwind Drive and El Dorado Avenue as a result. The crash is still under investigation, but impairment and speed do not appear to be a factor. The decedent’s family has been notified.
