On September 5, 2025, at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a reported injury collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.

The investigation revealed that the bicyclist had stopped at the northwest corner of SR95 and Mulberry Avenue, waiting to cross. For reasons that remain unknown, the bicyclist entered the intersection before the crossing signal turned green. At that moment, a 2008 Cadillac CTS, which was traveling through the intersection on a green light, struck the bicyclist. The driver reported that their view of the bicyclist was obstructed by vehicles in the turning lane.

The bicyclist, who has been identified as 19-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Andrew Kroschel, was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Collision Team responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. This case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department Traffic Unit at 928-855-1171.
