INJURY CRASH INVESTIGATION
May 02, 2022

On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at approximately 3:58 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the 500 block of N. Acoma Blvd.

During the investigation, it was determined that a 2013 Honda CB500 motorcycle was traveling north on N. Acoma Blvd. from S. Palo Verde Blvd. at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway.  The motorcycle drove off the roadway and struck a block wall in the 500 block of N. Acoma Blvd.

The male operator of the Honda motorcycle, identified as 37-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Jayson Manzagol, was not wearing a helmet during the crash and suffered significant head and neck injuries. He was transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center and later flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, for further medical treatment.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team responded to the crash scene to conduct the investigation. The intersection was closed for several hours as a result. The crash is still under investigation; impairment and speed appear to be factors
