KEEP OUR ROADS CLEAN AND COVER YOUR LOAD
April 25, 2024

Lake Havasu City cares about the safety of its residents and visitors on the roads and asks the public to help in reducing trash and debris that is accumulating along SR95, particularly north of Kiowa Boulevard, North, by covering their loads.

To help with getting our message out, police officers are conducting traffic details and issuing citations, along the highway corridor, with a focus aimed at educating motorists transporting unsecured loads.

Messaging includes a reminder of the Arizona Revised Statute 28-1098B, that states "A person shall not operate a vehicle on a highway with a load unless the load and any covering on the load are securely fastened in a manner to prevent the covering or load from becoming loose, detached, or in any manner a hazard to other users of the highway."

The City appreciates everyone’s cooperation in covering and securing loads before hitting the road. It is not just about avoiding citations, this simple yet crucial precautionary measure ensures the safety of drivers and contributes to the preservation of our city's cleanliness.
