On Friday, July 8, 2016 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police officers responded to the 2100 Block of Industrial Boulevard in reference to a reported shooting. Multiple officers responded to the scene and discovered that 25-year-old Christopher Irons and 32-year old Christopher Monsouir, both Lake Havasu City residents, were involved in an altercation. During the altercation, Irons allegedly produced a handgun and shot Monsouir.  Monsouir was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit responded to the scene and opened an investigation. The case will be submitted to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office when the investigation is completed. There have been no arrests made regarding the incident at this time. Monsouir is reportedly still hospitalized recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
