LHCFD RECEIVES EMS PARTNER IN CARE RECOGNITION
March 03, 2026

Lake Havasu City announces the Lake Havasu City Fire Department has been awarded the prestigious EMS Partner in Care recognition from the American College of Cardiology (ACC). This national distinction honors EMS agencies that demonstrate a strong, collaborative partnership with an ACC-accredited or certified Chest Pain Center (Havasu Regional Medical Center) to ensure rapid, high-quality care for cardiac patients.

“This recognition reflects our department’s commitment to providing compassionate, professional, and clinically excellent care to our community,” said EMS Battalion Chief Tim Maple. “Our paramedics and EMTs communicate from the scene with our hospital physicians and cardiologists to ensure cardiac patients receive the right care at the right time.”
To earn this designation, agencies must document active and ongoing collaboration with an accredited facility, including joint training initiatives, shared treatment protocols, and continuous communication on performance metrics. The recognition affirms that Lake Havasu City Fire Department is fully integrated as a part of the hospital’s acute cardiac care team and prepared to deliver rapid, evidence-based treatment in the field.
As an EMS Partner in Care, the program bridges the gap between pre-hospital and hospital treatment, strengthening survival rates and long-term outcomes for patients experiencing heart attacks and other cardiovascular emergencies.
Lake Havasu City remains committed to advancing clinical excellence, fostering strong healthcare partnerships, and delivering the highest standard of emergency medical care to the residents and visitors.
