LHCPD CONFISCATES LARGE QUANTITIES OF FENTANYL DURING INVESTIGATIONS

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 1:20 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of detectives from the Special Investigations Unit, arrested Lake Havasu City residents Paul Olson (34), Cortney Menzies (37), and Christopher Blanker (33) during a traffic stop in the area of Oro Grande Blvd. and Maricopa Ave. During the traffic stop, officers located approximately 2100 fentanyl pills, approximately 13 grams of fentanyl powder, approximately 60 grams of meth, items of drug paraphernalia, and a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol.

As a result of that investigation, the following subjects were arrested:

Cortney Menzies was charged with: Transportation of Dangerous Drugs, transportation of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited possessor, possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and promoting prison contraband.

Christopher Blanker was charged with: Possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited possessor, and possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

Paul Olson was charged with: Transportation of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited possessor, and possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

During their initial appearances, Menzies, Blanker, and Olson were held on a $50,000 cash only bond. They were transported to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

On January 1, 2024, at approximately 3:03 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Street Crimes unit arrested Marissa Hoffmann (33), Cassidy Nelson (35), and Anthony Clevidence (31), during a traffic stop in the area of Highway 95 and McCulloch Blvd. S. During the traffic stop, officers located over 2,000 fentanyl pills, approximately 58 grams of fentanyl powder, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

As a result of that investigation, Marissa Hoffmann, Cassidy Nelson, and Anthony Clevidence were charged with: Transportation of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During their initial appearances, Hoffmann and Nelson were held on a $15,000 bond. Clevidence was held on a $50,000 cash only bond. They were transported to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
