MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH INVESTIGATION
December 09, 2022

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Route 95 and Oro Grande Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that a Peterbilt truck pulling a trailer was northbound on SR 95 when it collided with several northbound vehicles just south of the Oro Grande Boulevard intersection. The truck and trailer continued through the intersection, left the roadway to the right, crossed over Maricopa Avenue, and came to rest in an empty dirt lot. There was a total of six vehicles involved, including the Peterbilt truck.

As a result of the collision, seven patients were transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center, and at the time of this press release, the status of the patients is unknown.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team is conducting the investigation, and SR 95 from McCulloch Boulevard N. to Acoma Boulevard S. will be closed as a result. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route if traveling south on SR 95 and use patience in the area where traffic congestion exists.

The crash is still under investigation, and additional details will be provided as it becomes available.
