MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HOUSE FIRES

At approximately 9:00 pm on Friday, September 16th, 2022, a large fire involving multiple manufactured homes was reported by homeowners on the 2500 block of Honeybear Drive with additional homes on the 2500 block of Anita Drive also involved.  The reporting parties could see a large amount of flames coming from several homes in the area.  The first arriving fire company reported a working fire with flames and smoke visible from several homes on Honeybear extending into homes on Anita Drive.  Five Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded and gained control of the multiple fires in three hours.  The occupants evacuated all of the houses safely.  There were no reported injuries to the occupants or firefighters.  CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional seven hours conducting salvage and overhaul operations. Two homes on Honeybear were a complete loss with an additional home on Honeybear having minor heat and flame damage. One home on Anita Drive sustained moderate fire damage. There were also several vehicles and outbuildings destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
