Lake Havasu City’s Parks and Recreation Department celebrates a highly successful six-month period marked by strong community participation, expanded programming, and memorable events that continue to enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages.
In just half a year, Parks and Recreation delivered over 160 programs, special events, and special-interest classes. These programs attracted over 3,000 participants citywide, underscoring strong community interest and involvement and highlighting a growing demand for affordable and accessible recreation.
The department expanded its youth enrichment offerings with new arts, STEM, fitness, and special-interest sessions, all of which saw strong turnout and enthusiastic feedback from families. At the same time, adult programming continued to grow, with increased participation in wellness opportunities and skill-building workshops that encouraged residents to stay active and connect with one another.
Parks and Recreation attributes its momentum to the dedication of its staff, partners, and volunteers, whose efforts ensure safe, welcoming environments for residents of all ages to support their well-being.
“Our team pours their heart into every program and event we offer, and we are grateful for the incredible support we receive from our community,” said Gabby Vera, Director of Parks and Recreation. “These accomplishments reflect the passion of our staff as well as the enthusiasm of our residents, and we are excited to continue building on this momentum together.
