On August 30, 2022, the Lake Havasu City Police Department received a report of a potential threat involving a school shooting at an unspecified school in Lake Havasu City. Local schools were notified of the information and took precautionary measures.

Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit conducted a thorough investigation and determined that no threats were made involving any school or student. The schools were made aware of the findings of the investigation.
