PERSON OF INTEREST SOUGHT IN ARSON INVESTIGATION
November 30, 2025

On November 30, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department Dispatch Center received a report of a burglary and fire alarm at Calvary Church, located at 3100 Sweetwater Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located signs of forced entry and discovered an active fire inside the building. Once the fire was extinguished, investigators found substantial evidence indicating the incident was an act of arson.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, along with investigators from the Lake Havasu City Fire Department, responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Surveillance footage has been collected, and a person of interest has been identified.

The individual has been identified as 49-year-old Keith Gensamer. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He was also observed driving a silver or gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with New Mexico license plate BYXJ35.

Investigators have learned that Gensamer’s vehicle has recently been seen towing a travel trailer and he is believed to be staying in the desert area south of Lake Havasu City. Please refer to the attached photos for additional information.

This individual should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. If seen, please contact law enforcement immediately.
