On January 24, 2017, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Lake Havasu City Police officers were dispatched to Hagen Way at Mangrum Drive for a reported single vehicle motorcycle accident.  The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was called out to investigate the crash. 

Investigators determined that a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle, operated by 56-year old Lake Havasu City resident Thomas West, was traveling westbound on Hagen Way. West lost control for unknown reasons and was ejected from the motorcycle. West sustained fatal head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. It has been determined that West was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The investigation is continuing and several factors are being investigated as to the cause of the crash.
