Congratulations to Havasu Youth Advisory Council (HYAC) for getting their first donation from Sterlite for “Project We OutCare.” Sterlite donated plastic tubs to help with collecting classroom supplies for the 39 new teachers hired this year at the Lake Havasu Unified School District. Project We Outcare is a project HYAC won first place for in the DemocraSeed Challenge through ASU’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Center for Future of Arizona. HYAC is collecting classroom supplies from local businesses and individuals in the community, to introduce the new teachers to our great town to improve quality teacher retention.
