Public Assistance Needed with Rock Throwing Incidents

The Lake Havasu City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with the identification of suspect(s) responsible for throwing rocks at numerous vehicles primarily in the areas of Maricopa Boulevard and Highway 95 between Acoma Boulevard South and McCulloch Boulevard South.  The department has received numerous reports of damage to vehicles and houses in the surrounding areas. Pima Drive and Riviera Avenue is another location where police have received reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles. The rocks are primarily being thrown at moving vehicles after dark and the victims are unable to see anyone in the immediate area.

The incidents started occurring in January with the most recent incident on May 23, 2016. Thousands of dollars in damage has been reported from multiple victims. The police department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying or locating any possible suspects in this case.

Silent Witness will pay a cash reward of up to $1000 for information leading to an arrest or indictment and you will remain anonymous.

The police department’s Street Crimes Unit continues to investigate the incidents. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Sgt. Jacobs at 928-680-5412 or the Lake Havasu Silent Witness.  Anonymous tips can be left by calling 928-854-TIPS (8477). Citizens can also send an anonymous text message tip to “CRIMES” or 274637. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through a web page based tip service at www.tipsoft.com or via the “TipSubmit” mobile application for iPhone and Android based smart phones.
