RECREATIONAL VEHICLE FIRE
December 23, 2025

At approximately 1:05 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, a fire was reported by a neighbor in the 3000 block of Vega Drive. The neighbors discovered smoke and flames coming from a large Class-A RV, parked immediately adjacent to a large, detached RV garage. The first arriving fire company reported a fully involved RV with flames threatening the structure. Four engine companies, a fire department medic unit, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in approximately 18 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely, and firefighters prevented the fire from extending into the structure. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. The Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to Lake Havasu City to assist with other 911 calls during the incident. Fire crews remained on the scene for an additional hour and ten minutes, conducting overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
