At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Monday, February, 27, 2023, a fire was reported by the neighbor in the 1100 block of Regency Dr. The neighbor discovered a fire in rear of the duplex and alerted occupants to evacuate. The first arriving fire company reported heavy fire conditions at the rear of the structure.

Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in 45 minutes.  The occupants of each unit evacuated the residence safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. LHCFD CERT responded to the fire to assist with rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene additional hour conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
