On October 23, 2022, Lake Havasu City Police officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on a white Chrysler 200 in the 1800 block of N. McCulloch Blvd. While dealing with the occupants of the vehicle, a report was received regarding a shoplifting that had just occurred in the area of N. The investigation revealed that the three people in the car, Shanae Swanson (30), Joy Evans (28), and Jamesha Marshall (31), had just stolen over $1,000.00 worth of high-end alcohol from Walgreens. The bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle during the traffic stop.
Officers were later able to determine that two other previous investigations were linked to the same individuals. Those investigations involved suspects stealing over $1,000.00 worth of high-end alcohol at Smith’s on September 26, 2022, and Walgreens on October 13, 2022.
