Lake Havasu City is moving forward with the construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of McCulloch Boulevard and Jamaica Boulevard. The project, managed in partnership with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), addresses traffic congestion and speed, allowing motorists and pedestrians to safely cross the intersection.
Roadwork is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15, 2025, during nighttime hours, from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Construction is anticipated to be completed by December 30, 2025.
During the project, traffic control is in place, and right-turn movements at the intersection are restricted while crews construct ADA ramps and install new traffic signal equipment.
Drivers are encouraged to limit travel through the intersection during nighttime work hours to avoid delays. Lake Havasu City appreciates the patience and understanding of residents and motorists as these essential upgrades are carried out to improve roadway safety and infrastructure
