On October 22, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department arrested Lake Havasu City resident Jason Fontes (44) without incident in the 3700 block of Solar Dr. His arrest was related to his involvement in a domestic violence incident that occurred on October 20, 2022.

During the initial investigation, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit determined that a physical altercation occurred between the victim and Fontes. During the dispute, Fontes shot one round from a handgun at the victim. There were no serious injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, Jason Fontes was charged with Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault.

During his initial appearance, Fontes was held on a $100,000 cash bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
