UPDATE FROM MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH INVESTIGATION
December 12, 2022

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash at State Route 95 and Oro Grande Boulevard intersection.

The investigation revealed that a Peterbilt truck pulling a trailer was northbound on SR 95 when it collided with several northbound vehicles, including a 2021 Honda Pilot, just south of the Oro Grande Boulevard intersection. The truck and trailer continued through the intersection, left the roadway to the right, crossed over Maricopa Avenue, and came to rest in an empty dirt lot. There was a total of six vehicles involved, including the Peterbilt truck.

As a result of the collision, the rear passenger of the Honda Pilot, 83-year-old Utah resident Frank Wrigley, was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center and later flown to Sunrise Hospital by air where he succumbed to his injuries. Six additional patients were transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

The crash is still being investigated by the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team, and impairment does not appear to be a factor.

The decedent’s family has been notified.
