In order to continue to combat and reduce the spread of COVID-19 cases across Mohave County and Lake Havasu City, Lake Havasu City is strongly encouraging our residents and visitors to continue to wear a face covering and distance yourself from others, whenever possible.

Mohave County and Lake Havasu City are starting to see a downward trend in overall confirmed COVID-19 cases. However, with the upcoming holiday weekend quickly approaching, schools opening with hybrid options, and the upcoming flu season, there still remains a community-wide risk of exposure to the virus. Due to this risk, Mayor Cal Sheehy is extending proclamation 2020-2, requiring all residents and visitors to wear a face covering whenever inside of a business within Lake Havasu City. 

"I applaud the citizens of Lake Havasu City for doing their part to help slow the spread of the virus. We must continue to take all necessary mitigation steps until our children can attend in-person learning and our businesses that are closed under Governor Ducey's executive order can reopen," said Mayor Sheehy. 

This continuation of a voluntary measure can help reduce the risk for your friends, family and especially for those most vulnerable in our community. When a citizens chooses to wear a mask or face covering, they are doing it to protect our community. We must all do our part in order for our community to reopen safely.
