Lake Havasu City invites the community to a heartfelt Farewell Tree Ceremony honoring the historic holiday tree at Wheeler Park. The event takes place on Wednesday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Wheeler Park, located at 1801 McCulloch Boulevard North.

Republic Services, in partnership with Lake Havasu City, offers a free residential Electronic and Household Hazardous Waste Recycling event on Saturday, December 13, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event takes place at Fire Station 2, located at 2065 Kiowa Boulevard North, with public access at College Drive. Signs are posted in the vicinity to assist residents with drop-off.

A fascinating piece of Lake Havasu City’s history has been rediscovered! Earlier this week, the 25-year-old time capsule sealed in January 2000 by the Keep Havasu Beautiful Committee was carefully unearthed from its home at the “Welcome to Lake Havasu City” north gateway monument. Built by local craftsman Joe Vitela Masonry, the monument and capsule were designed to preserve the community spirit of the year 2000 for future generations to rediscover.
