The Lake Havasu City Police Department Animal Control Unit is investigating an incident involving the abandonment of two cats and one dog inside a wire kennel.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department Street Crimes Unit is currently investigating multiple graffiti incidents that have occurred primarily in the downtown area over the past two months. Approximately ten reports have been filed involving similar markings and writing style. Most of the incidents involved spray paint; however, in one case, the same phrase, “INEM,” was etched into a window of a business.

Lake Havasu City administrative offices and the Aquatic Center pool are closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Police, fire, and emergency medical services are unaffected. Trash and recycling services for Thursday, November 27, are collected on Friday, November 28. Lake Havasu City announces that the parking lot at Dylan Dog Park, located near SARA Park, is temporarily closed from Monday, November 24, to Friday, December 5, 2025, for asphalt milling activities to improve the parking lot. During this period, the park areas remain open to the public, including open turf areas, pathways, and other park amenities. Only the parking lot is unavailable.

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 11:38 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a report of a male subject who had acted recklessly with a firearm. Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the incident originated from a verbal altercation between the suspect and multiple other people that occurred around 11:30 p.m. on November 1, 2025. Following the argument, the suspect left the area, while the victim and several friends returned to a residence in the 1200 block of Lake Havasu Avenue North.

Lake Havasu City honors our Veterans on Tuesday, November 11, by joining VFW Post #9401 for their annual Veterans Day Parade and ceremony, paying tribute to the men and women who have bravely served our nation in the United States Armed Forces. The parade begins at 9:00 a.m. along McCulloch Boulevard at Main Street.
