In an effort to maintain our roads, parking lots, and walking paths, Lake Havasu City is continuing its pavement preservation program by applying crack and mastic seals to various surfaces, starting Monday, February 23, 2026, and will continue for approximately sixteen weeks, weather permitting.

Lake Havasu City invites residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to help shape the community’s future during the 60-day public review period for the draft Lake Havasu City General Plan: Shaping Our Future. The draft plan was released on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and is available for public review and comment through Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

On February 15, 2026, at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of Lake Havasu Avenue North in reference to an injury vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, officers determined that two pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Lake Havasu Avenue. After striking the pedestrians, the vehicle continued southbound and collided with an unoccupied, parked vehicle.

Lake Havasu City is pleased to announce that the National Community Survey (NCS) is now open to all residents, with the online survey available beginning today, February 10, 2026. Residents who did not receive a mailed survey invitation are welcome and encouraged to participate online. The City greatly values resident feedback, which plays an important role in helping City leadership understand community priorities, celebrate strengths, and identify opportunities to better serve the community.

Lake Havasu City’s 2026 property tax values provided by the Mohave County Assessor’s Office are attached for public inspection per A.R.S 42-17055.

At approximately 6:27 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the homeowner reported a fire in the 2900 block of Dogwood Drive. The occupants discovered smoke and fire in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported a working garage fire with smoke coming from around the closed garage doors and from all attic vents. Five engine companies, a Battalion Chief, and a medic unit responded to the fire and gained control in approximately 39 minutes. The occupants were alerted by smoke detectors and evacuated the house safely. There was one minor injury to a firefighter. LHCFD CERT responded with several members to the fire to assist with firefighter rehab. The Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to Lake Havasu City to assist with multiple other 911 calls during the incident. Crews remained on the scene for an additional 3.5 hours, conducting salvage and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department is transitioning to a new Records Management System to better serve the community and improve operational efficiency.

For the consideration and safety of our K9 friends, the S.A.R.A. Dylan Dog Park is closed during the Western Pyrotechnic Association Winterblast beginning February 11, 2026, and continuing through February 16, 2026.  Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the Lion’s Dog Park located at 1340 McCulloch Boulevard or the Avalon Dog Park located at 1294 Avalon Avenue during this time.
