On December 05, 2024, a female subject was arrested for two counts of fraudulent schemes, forgery, and aggravated identity theft as a result of an investigation conducted by the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit.

The entire community is cordially invited to attend the 21st Annual Free Community Dinner on Friday, December 13, at the Aquatic/Community Center. The event offers two different serving times again: Early Bird serving at 4:00 p.m. (doors open at 3:30) and the second serving at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:45 p.m.). The Annual River Riders Toy Run is hitting the road this Sunday, December 8, from Parker to Lake Havasu City at approximately 12:00 p.m. This charitable ride, which brings thousands of toys to children in need in Lake Havasu City, follows the same route as previous years – traveling on residential streets throughout the city.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, smoke was reported by a neighboring business in the 1900 block of Mesquite Avenue. The smoke was believed to be coming from an air conditioning unit. The first arriving fire company reported a fire in the attic space of the main unit involved. Four Engine Companies and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in 35 minutes. An employee discharged a fire extinguisher in the attic space prior to the fire department's arrival. All employees safely evacuated and were unharmed. Crews remained on the scene for an additional hour conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A temporary one-way lane restriction on the London Bridge at McCulloch Boulevard starts at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, to facilitate public works infrastructure improvements. Certified flaggers are on-site to direct traffic during the paint striping activities and will remain in place until the paint fully dries.

Lake Havasu City, in collaboration with the USS Arizona Relic Committee, led by Marine Corps League Detachment #757, invites the public to a heartfelt Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony scheduled this Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. located at London Bridge Beach Park, near the flagpoles. This event commemorates the 83rd Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. It includes a short ceremony and viewing of the USS Arizona relic from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

The upcoming Coffee with the Mayor and City Manager, initially scheduled for this Friday, December 6, is canceled. Mayor Cal Sheehy is attending the Colorado River Water Users Association (CRWUA) conference as the Mohave County Water Authority (MCWA) Chairman, advocating for our community’s vital water interests.

Lake Havasu City administrative offices and the Aquatic Center pool are closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
