The Lake Havasu City Police Department will be conducting a traffic and DUI enforcement detail from Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30, 2022, for the Memorial Day weekend. Officers will provide enhanced traffic and DUI enforcement during the holiday weekend from a grant awarded by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

Over the past several months, detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been investigating a subject selling Fentanyl pills throughout the Lake Havasu City Area.

Over the past several weeks, Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), conducted an investigation of subjects selling Fentanyl pills and methamphetamine throughout the Lake Havasu City Area.

On May 19, 2022, at 5:00 P.M., Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the SWAT team, and officers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s K9 and Helicopter units executed a search warrant in the area of Lone Tree BLM Campground, which is located approximately 7 miles north of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

In an ongoing effort to maintain the highest-quality airport infrastructure, the Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport is closing the runway nightly from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., May 23rd thru May 26th to complete an erosion control project.
